- Connected a scan tool and pulled code P0303- Cylinder #3 misfire. Used the scan tool to monitor live data with the engine at idle and found the misfire counts on cylinder #3 increased. INspected the ignition coil wiring harness and connecor, but found no concerns. Used a multi-meter to check for voltage ad ground at the ignition coil connector and found both were present. Used the multi-meter to measured the resistance of the ignition coil and found the measured resistance as not withing specifications. These tests results verified the ignition coil on cylinder #3 was faulty. Removed spark plugs for inspection and found the spark plugs had too much wear, also inspected the engine oil and found a bit low and dark. Recommend replacing one ignition coil, all spark plugs and performing an oil change, customer approved replacing the ignition coil and spark plugs, and stated engine oil change had been recently replaced at dealer. Performed repairs, road tested and no fault codes returned and misfire did not returned.
