- No check engine light found, connected a scan tool and pulled code P0340- Camshaft position sensor. Used the scan tool to monitor the live data and observed the camshaft position sensor displayed intermittent signal. Turned on engine and heard a noise coming from engine compartment, pin point the source of noise and found it was coming from the timing chain compartment, checked engine oil level and found no oil mark on dipstick, added about 2 quarts of oil to bring up to specs and no more noise was heard. The low oil level could have triggered the camshaft code since it was not detecting oil on engine and went into limp mode to protect engine. Recommend replacing engine oil and recheck, customer advised and approved. Performed engine oil change and road tested several times, fault code did not returned and vehicle operated properly. No other problems found at the moment,
- Changed oil and filter, inspect belts, hoses, suspension, tire wear, wiper blades, fluids condition, engine and cabin air filers , brake, check for leaks, inspection vehicle condition
